the viewer is initially surprised by the substantial absence of a single theme and a discrete connective tissue. But that is where their strength lies. These are photographs stemming from the stock of the experiences and emotions, without obeying an existing programs or some stated intention.
Such an attitude entails the danger of escape through an artistic and formalistic emphasis. However, Tsakyridou appears to have managed to submit her artistic knowledge and abilities to the Discipline of her Visual sensitivity and to her poetic Photographic identity.”
